On the first weekend of July we had our second (BootCamp 2012) annual Section 8 PMC Int. Boot Camp 2013 – training camp. This year’s training camp was organized and developed by PMC Vilnius branch. Unfortunately, six members of the Company was unable to attend the congress. Like last year, we present a story from the ground.
S8 training camps aim to summon members of the Company’s for general workout to update knowledge and improve personal and teamwork skills. To provide basic knowledge for newcomers, and of course – a good R&R time.
We gathered to the camp on Friday evening. It is very nice homestead on the lake shore. PMC Vilnius branch was working on training site since the midle of the week – they had to clean the forest, prepare the targets and shooting range. They had to do a lot, everything was prepared perfectly. Babay mate even installed a footbridge over wettered forest areas – liek a Sir!
After a long preparation of the forest site – the tactical water treatments…
Welcome on arrival.
Annual camp security…
…especially fierce this year – with reinforcements.
The first evening we devoted to introduce guys with the training camp program. As the year has been very fruitful for newcomers, we introduce them to the concept of our company, policies, internal procedures and rules. Also, all were introduced with the stringent mandatory accoutrements, equipment requirements, and new control system. Over the years, the company revealed some internal policy and accoutrements problems, so there is always a chance to develop – and so effective mechanism for rapidly expanding company requires constant optimization.
Next morning …
For the half of the night our neighbor was playing bad music loudly. We had to shine some light into his mind with our maglights, so the rest of the night was silent. And after early morning formation in front of his windows – the other night was calm :)
After returning from the exercise we packed our gear and went to the training polygon in the forest. On the midway we remembered that we forgot someone… Excellent team spirit, damn :)
Babajus ir J.J. – camp organisers.
… so we begin!
After the fourth cycle of push-ups, reloading becomes comical. Limits has been reached. Now we learn!
„How do you hold your gun?“
The youngest participant in the training camp, the growing shift of father – Noah, the son of Bull, has program survived perfectly.
Into the wild…
After training session in the line, target range and obstacle course followed. On this course we responded to the ambush, rushed the enemy, used flanks, worked in pairs and sections, organized ring defense, etc. , etc. ..
During the lunch break first aid course was reminded to the company, SigSauer recalled radio communication procedures.
On the last stage of the training we went deeper into the woods. A small group of old guys imitated the enemy, while the main forces were moving through the woods, repeated knowledge through practice. Typically, we are not tend to use force on force training within a team, but in this case, with so many newcomers, this approach helps more efficient use of teamwork. Report from one of such ambush:
We have a lot of footage from the event, so in the near future you will see another video.
Towards the end of the day, we gathered all the targets, and hastened to the camp of R&R.
One of the targets fromt he shooting range.
Do you know what a grace is water treatments after hard physical labor?
We would like to thank the department of Vilnius for the excellent organization of the camp. As well as all the members who have delayed all the matters to the side and came to the training. An yes, our lovely women who waited patiently for our return from the polygon.
